Sad movies always make me cry.

슬픈 영화는 언제나 나를 울려요,

(He) said, he had to work, so I went to the show alone.

They turned down the lights and turned the projector on.

Just as the news of the world started to begin,

I saw my darling and my best friend walking in.

그이가 말했죠, 일을 해야만 한다고, 그래서 난 혼자서 영화를 보러 갔죠.

불이 꺼지고, 영사기가 돌아가기 시작했어요.

막 세계뉴스가 시작이 되었을 때,

난 봤죠, 사랑하는 그이와 내 절친이 같이 들어오는걸.

Though I was sitting there they didn't see.

So they sat right down in front of me.

When he kissed her lips I almost died.

And in the middle of the color cartoon, I started to cry.

하지만 그들이 보지 못했던 곳에 내가 앉아 있었기에

그들이 내 바로 앞자리에 앉았던 거죠.

그이가 그녀의 입술에 키스를 했을 땐, 난 거의 죽음이었죠.

그리고 영화가 한창 상영 중에 난 울음이 나오더군요.

So I got up, and slowly I walked on home,

And Mama saw the tears and said "What's wrong".

So to keep from telling her a lie, I just said "Sad movies make me cry".

그래서 난 일어났고, 천천히 집을 향해 걸었지요.

그런데 엄마는 내 눈물을 보고서 무슨 일이 있었냐고 물었죠.

그래서 난 거짓말로 줄곧 말했지요. “슬픈 영화들은 날 울려요.”라고
